The Best Liver Cleansing Juice

Hello, hello, hello! Today I bring to you all my favourite all natural liver cleansing juice. This juice is a great way to give your body the cleanse it needs, especially when experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms like bloating, gas, and just plain old abdominal discomfort. Or after consuming a lot of things that are harsh on the liver, like alcohol and/or different types of drugs. I think that it is important we take care of our inner body organs, even though we may not see what is truly going on. We all love a good outer cleanse, so why not do the work on the inside as well!

This juice is very easy to make and beats any diet pill, medical laxative or whatever else is out there on the market these days! At least by making it yourself you know exactly what is in it, and can feel good the natural way!

So here we go, let's get right in to it!

INGREDIENTS:

- 2 beets

- 2 carrots

- 1 whole apple

- 2-3 celery stalks

- lemon juice

- water

- ice

So first you will have to peel the carrots, and then boil them with the beets (optional, or you can just leave the carrots raw) for about ten minutes only. Once the beets are boiled the skin will be able to peel off easily. Chop them up along with the carrots, celery and the apple. Then throw them all in the blender along with the lemon juice, ice and water either from the boiled (beets and carrots) pot, or not. I usually use the boiled pot water once it has cooled down, that way I am getting as much of the nutrients that have been boiled out from the beets and carrots still. Blend it all up and make it as thin or thick as you would like. The colour is beautiful and so is the taste! Be prepared, and not alarmed, to find a bit of that colour from the beets when you use the washroom as well.

All of these ingredients increase the liver's detoxifying effects and have a bunch of other positive effects on the body. Beets are definitely a super food, and are so underrated. They also help to lower blood pressure, increase athletic performance and include important nutrients like vitamin c, fiber and folate. Carrots and apples are also great for our health as we all may know by now! And as for the lemon, it helps the body to become more alkaline and less acidic, and provides great cleansing effects. Celery juice has become more mainstream as well with all of its cleansing benefits that it provides to the skin, liver, and even to weight loss so it is also a great addition.

I hope you guys will try this juice and feel great about your super cleansed liver (and GI tract) afterwards! And if juicing or smoothies are not your thing, try to start incorporating more of these liver cleansing foods in to your daily eating patterns. Food truly is medicine y'all. And even though I do not define myself as a strict vegan or vegetarian, I do still try my best to eat as healthy as I can. I feel like I have come to learn what my body appreciates the most and what makes me feel my best. For example, I still stick to my soy products over dairy because dairy still does not agree with me. But that is not to say that I won't eat something containing a bit of dairy products here and there. But yes, honestly I say what ever makes you feel good, EAT THAT! I live my life in the middle of; Yes my body is my temple and I should treat it as such, but at the same time we only live once and a little piece of cake is not going to hurt me! As long as I eat healthy for the most part, I feel very good about that! But I can say that keeping myself restricted, only left me feeling weak, tired and with major migraines in the long run. Also, a lot of things that I once could or would eat, I have realized are just way too sweet or salty and don't truly taste good anymore. So mindful eating is also a really important thing to consider, and has helped me connect the food that I eat to how my body feels.

Oaky guys I'm done ranting now lol. But always remember health is wealth, and prevention is key!

S.S.
