15 Healthy Habits For A Healthier Life
Hello my friends! Today I am sharing 15 tried and true ways to lead a healthier lifestyle. For some, the topic of health simply relates to eating well and maybe exercising, or living free of any disease. But health is multidimensional. There are so many things that go in to living a healthy and well life. It's not just about the food we eat, it's about so much more; like how we take care of ourselves, how we feel within our physical home environments, the joy we experience on a daily basis, how much time we make for fun and creativity, how our relationships in life are, and more. So much more that even this list does not capture it all... but it is a good start if you are looking for ways to improve your overall health. And of course, you don't have to throw yourself in to doing all 15 of these things at once. I actually highly recommend that you don't do that. Instead incorporate 1 or 2 at a time and slowly take it from there. Bookmark and then revisit this blog post when you feel ready to incorporate more of the habits from the list. And remember to love yourself through this healthier lifestyle journey!
1. Park further out in the parking lot
2. Walk and be out in nature as much as possible
3. Choose water over any other beverage
4. Schedule in self care and actually do it
5. Find joy in doing your everyday tasks
6. Cook at home more and incorporate more veggies and fruits in to your meals
7. Make smoothies or juices often
8. Spend valuable time with loved ones
9. Write down your thoughts and emotions
10. Do something to unleash your creativity
11. Move your body for atleast 20-30 minutes daily
12. Try to have a mostly positive outlook
13. Read/listen to things that nurture your soul
14. Find and care for your inner peace and happiness
15. Give back to your community, friends, family or even a perfect stranger
I hope that you leave this blog post feeling inspired to put your health first! It's paramount that we focus on being and staying healthy instead of waiting for things to go wrong with our health, and then having to pick up the pieces.
Don't forget to be honest with yourself, while also showing yourself some compassion. If you fall off or start to feel like you can do better, that's okay. Just start again. Try not to sweat the small stuff. Focus on the why rather than the what in these situations, and in doing this you'll find great clarity. You'll become more in tune with yourself, and want to strive even more towards living a healthy, happy life!
